Community Update - June
A few highlights from these last few months:
We're THRILLED that we've engaged Dong-Ping Wong (DPW) to help us set a creative direction for interior design. DPW and his firm, Food Architects, has driven an incredibly diverse set of projects and we're excited that with our same kind of nerdy energy, he'll help bring our vision to life
Extra extra! Agnes and Sherman's existence was sniffed out by the internet and made local press. My personal favorite line being that Nick "has wandered silently around Houston's culinary scene..." like a mf WOLF!
Introducing NBD/No Big Deal (things that are not great but we are handling like pros):
Because the existing space we're taking over has been under the same tenant for over a decade, we'll need to install a hot water loop to bring plumbing up to code. This will cost a chunk of change that we weren’t expecting
On deck:
Our permit set has been re-submitted after the first round of City comments, and we're on schedule to get our permits to start construction in ~6 weeks
In parallel, we aim to get contractor bids back and select a general contractor by the end of June

Vivian Leba, our social media lead, for helping us put the H in DPW's H-Town tour and knowledge base
Documenting the day our lease officially went into effect! (Lisa got back into town late that day)
